March on the LAN

Date: March 26, 2011
Time: 3:00 PM
Where: Gott Community Center [map]
Admission: $10

Hey everybody, we've got a LAN party scheduled for March. We are going to be testing a couple of ideas at this one.

There are going to be 3 or so computers setup to test how well they can play the popular party games. The idea is that in the future these computers could be rented for an additional fee. This would help people who have underpowered computers, don't own the games being played or just don't feel like lugging in their computer and then waiting to download the games.

We would also like to try out a few free and different games. We play a lot of the same games and I know some of you want to play different ones. Games also cost money, it's hard keeping things legal and dealing with tournament licenses is a hassle. If you know of any free games that would be perfect for a LAN party, please let us know.

Credit and debit cards will be accepted thanks to Square (www.squareup.com). This will make it easier for the people who don't always carry cash.

The game list and schedule has yet to be finalized so check back for that later.

Admission is $10 and as usual, snacks and drinks will be provided. T-shirts are still available for purchase and we hope to get a larger selection of
