New for 2010, Gameathon, with big help from Lan Breed, will be presenting a Local Area Network (LAN) Party for the first time in the competition’s history. Those competing in the PC LAN party will play Counterstrike and Unreal Tournament from 9 p.m. on April 16 to 6 a.m. Saturday. Due to the nature of the LAN Party, we’re capping this event at 42. Be sure to sign-up now if you want to part of Gameathon history. We have speaker in the MMTH auditorium at 7:00 am to discuss the trends in the gaming industry and how to get a job in gaming or application production. Set-up for the LAN begings at 9:00 pm on Friday.

Game Event: PC LAN Party featuring Counter-Strike: Source (PC), Starcraft, and Unreal Tournament

Set-Up: Friday, April 16th at 9:00 pm  Ends: Saturday, April 17th at 9:00 am.  You will need to bring your own computer.

The sponsors of Gameathon require that we follow the guidelines issued by the ESRB We must have a signed parents’ permission form from any player who is under the age guideline to play Counter Strike Source (PC), Halo 3, Unreal Tournament 3 (PC), Counter-Strike: Source (PC), or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are rated M (Mature). These games have content not suitable for persons under age 17. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.
