Been thinking about making some tougher dance pads to use at the LAN parties. I'm digging the style of the Devout Stealth pad. Has anyone else ventured into this?

When shall we start? I'm up for a Lowes adventure today.

I'm now at work, how about in the morning? 7AM? Need to go through a checklist, I may have some stuff already

If you can wake me up at 7am then sure. What time do they open anyway?

I would like to use pressure sensors in this rather than mechanical switches. It would make for a nice electronics project. Rather than wiring up some buttons to a cheap USB controller we could fashion some cheap pressure sensors out of some Velostat and program an AVR micro-controller to interpret the tile presses and pass the input to the computer.

This is a simple pressure sensor made from some Velostat and wire:

Been messing around with the v-usb library and an Attiny44. So far I've gotten a simple game pad with one button. I'll be adding in a pressure sensor next.
